Students

itslearning helps you build your own learning pathway

After thirteen years of formal education, students look for both control and guidance as they seek to build their futures. itslearning provides tools to create personalized and diverse learning environments that foster active and engaged learning.

As they pursue higher education, students need to:

  • Identify and explore their interests & strengths. itslearning makes it easy to offer courses that are engaging and make learning relevant. Multimedia courses are possible in any format: text, image, audio, video and interactive software . Assignments can vary in ways that were simply not possible in traditional learning management systems. Once you build your course, you can engage students at the class, group and individual levels with no more effort than it takes to prepare a lecture today.
  • Identify weaknesses and improve. Assessment is critical to academic success. it‘s learning provides instructors with 13 types of assessment including 11 that are automatically graded, with real-time feedback and later feedback so they can measure what matters when it matters. Once weaknesses are identified, instructors can create Individual Learning Plans that meet student needs and motivate them to improve. Progress reports and the Grade Book provide instructors, their students, and administrators with access to the data they need to promote completion and success.
  • Organize, reflect and think. itslearning provides students and faculty with a personal workspace to collect their ideas and work, reflect on its quality, develop iterations and test their theories. It is easy to refer back to tests, papers and discussions because everything is in one place.
  • Collaborate with faculty and mentors for guidance. By providing communications and collaboration tools including email, instant messaging, text conferencing and video conferencing, itslearning makes it easy for faculty to work with large numbers of students efficiently and effectively. itslearning, inc. also helps its clients develop mentoring programs to add volunteer labor in support of individualized instruction. Using the data provided by the system, faculty and mentors find it easier to understand and help their students succeed.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop opinions and ideas. Both faculty and students take advantage of it’s learning’s project rooms, discussion groups, blogs and other tools to develop their own thinking, discuss their ideas and contribute to their fields of interest.
  • Share and discuss ideas outside the classroom to broaden learning. itslearning is a gateway to the global world of ideas. Faculty and students can publish blogs on the Internet, contribute learning modules to the instructional community, integrate news feeds and real-time sources into their courses, projects, and publications, and create ePortfolios to build a persistent record of their accomplishments.
