In a study funded by the Pew Institute, 30 colleges and universities used technology-based learner-centered approaches to redesign their courses. Results to date show improved student learning in 22 of the 30 projects, with the remaining 8 showing learning of equal quality to traditional formats. All 30 institutions reduced costs, with cost savings ranging from 20 percent to 77 percent and an average cost saving of 40%!

itslearning provides all the tools to implement a cost-effective learner-centered approach!
- The course planner, multi-media and Web 2.0 tools make it easy for faculty to create media-rich courses that make learning relevant and give students choices that engage their personal interests and motivation leading to higher retention and graduation.
- Faculty can take better advantage of class time and provide individualized attention in less time, as students use online resources to prepare for discussions and connect with peers to develop their ideas.
- Mentoring provides a wider pool of resources to supply ongoing feedback and guidance, and to support personalized learning at little or no cost to the institution.
